The LONDON Clash: Kotoko-Hearts Independence Day clash given a month postponement from initial date

Kotoko’s big header against Hearts of Oak in London as part of Ghana’s Independence Day Celebration has been given one month postponement from the initial date of 7th March, 2020.

Which means the game is expected to if indeed not affected by any other hindrance take place on Saturday 11th April this year at the Barnett Stadium in London.

A statement on the Ghana FA website gave reason to the postponement as, ”Torrential downpour in the last few days have affected the Barnet pitch, necessitating the postponement of the matches of the National League club, Barnet, and this has affected the scheduled Hearts-Kotoko match at the same venue.”

The organizers HRH Sports Consult and ProBall International, in consultation with Ghana FA and the two clubs have moved it to the weekend of the Easter holidays.

Kotoko and Hearts have already had a test of themselves in the Ghana Premier League when the two met at the Accra Sports Stadium in Week 6 of the league.
