World Cup 2022: Jordan Ayew’s cross to Mohammed Kudus described as wonderful by BBC analyst

The Korean national football team, led by Paulo Bento played their second group against Ghana at the Education City Stadium. The first half of the encounter finished 2-0.

Korea raised its momentum in the early minutes of the first half, but their effort went wide. Ghana got a set piece and Jordan Ayew’s kick bounced off his brother Andre Ayew’s body and Mohammed Salisu pounced on the ball and scored.

Ghana who had momentum again put additional pressure in a similar way. On the left side of the first half, Jordan Ayew’s cross was pushed into the net by Ajax star Mohammed Kudus. Ghana’s strengths, speed, and height succeeded in shaking South Korea.

A pundit on BBC analyzing the goal scored by Mohammed Kudus said:

“A wonderful cross by Jordan Ayew. You can’t give time and space to players with that quality. South Korea struggled to defend the cross, but Kudus’ touch was good,”

South Korea later launched sharp attacks which stunned Ghana but the game ended 3-2.
