BREAKING: Ghanaian side Hearts of Oak mutually part ways with Kim Grant following Premier League loss to Berekum Chelsea

Kim Grant has enjoyed not quite a smooth run of stay at the Accra Sports Stadium but not to also completely defiled him of the good work done for Hearts of Oak after guiding the 2004 CAF Confederation Cup winners to the semi-finals of the Normalization Committee Special Competition only losing on penalties to the then best club in the country Asante Kotoko.

Few weeks now have been a rife of confusion between the Accra boss and his support where many of the club’s supporters have called for Kim Grant sack.

Grants by this was shaky to be shown the exit door following his recent defeat to bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko in the Presidential Cup final and the GFA License A requirement, which means Grant cannot be in the dugout for Hearts until February 2020, even made the former Black Stars man more prone to be sacked in the last few days.

But there would have been hope for Grant, however, that would have only happened when the Ghana League had not started, at least, because the Hearts manager wouldn’t lead his side to a poor performance in league opener- which in no doubt has called for Grant’s sack.

Last Sunday was a day that Grant should have proved his critics wrong and to that of Hearts big bosses following the return of the Ghana Premier League. Grant suffered a painful 1-0 home defeat to Berekum Chelsea.

Supporters at yesterday’s match center and those on social media platforms expressed their worries for Hearts of Oak defeat, and simply called for the sack of Kim Grant. some supporters even threatened not to attend any of Hearts matches as long as Grant still remains the boss.

On Monday evening, Management of Hearts are reported to listen to the ‘never say die’ supporters as it’s believed that they have mutually parted ways with their boss following a crunch meeting on Monday. We understand that some Hearts officials prompted Grant to quit gently before the news breaks that they have sacked him the manager.

There is no official confirmation from both parties but we also believed that Hearts will appoint a new manager before they travel to face Medeama SC over the weekend. Former coach David Duncan tops Hearts wish list.
