Majeed Ashimeru striking the right chord at Anderlecht with a goal in win over Genk

Midfielder Majeed Ashimeru continued his sublime by scoring the opener for Anderlecht in their 2-0 win over Genk at home.

The 24-year-old, making his 27th minute start for Vincent Kompany’s side, sublimely struck the back of the net on 36 minutes.

Ashimeru was the second best player on the field with a rating of 8.2 as he scored his third league goal of the season.

He completed the most dribbles in the match according to the statistics site FotMob.

Ashimeru lasted 80 minutes on the pitch and was replaced by Kristoffer Olsson.

Yari Verschaeren scored the second goal for Anderlecht in the 41st minute.
