Conor Gallagher late strike hand Chelsea 2-1 come-back win at Crystal Palace as Graham Potter picks first victory

Chelsea fought-back to a 2-1 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon. The home side took the lead through Odsonne Edouard on the 7′ minute.

Chelsea were the dominant side before Palace broke the deadlock against the run of play. Jordan Ayew crossed for Edouard to tap home as the first half ended 1-0.

Chelsea continued the push for the equalizer and finally have the breakthrough after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang struck from Thiago Silva’s header. The Brazilian International have to calm aired ball inside the box for the Gabonese to turn and finish at the bottom left corner.

Crystal Palace remained absolute in defense seemingly dragging Chelsea to a 1-1 draw but second half substitute Conor Gallagher stole victory for the Blues.

Gallagher has scored against his former side where he was on loan last season before rejoining Chelsea at the beginning of this season.

The win is Graham Potter’s first win since becoming the head coach of Chelsea. The former Brighton boss saw his first game came in the UEFA Champions League where he drew 1-1 against RB Salzburg at Stamford Bridge.

Aubameyang also score his first Chelsea goal while Gallagher grabs his first senior goal since returning from the loan spell.
