Nigerian Striker Victor Osimhen Nominated for Prestigious Award in Difficult Italian Serie A
Victor Osimhen has been in blistering form for Italian club Napoli so far this Serie A season The Nigerian international striker has notched in 10 goals in all competitions in the course of this campaign The 23-year-old has now been nominated for the Serie A player of the Month Award for a second consecutive time.
Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has been nominated yet again, for the prestigious Serie A Player of the Year Award. Having scored 10 goals in all competitions this season, the 23-year-old who missed out on the prize in September made the November shortlist.
In September, Osimhen and fellow compatriot Ademola Lookman were on the shortlist for the prize, but it was Rafael Leao of AC Milan who scooped the award ahead of the duo.
Also on the latest shortlist is Piotr Zielinski, alongside Moise Kean, Federico Dimarco, and Giacomo Bonaventura, Complete Sports reports.
In October, Osimhen scored his first career hat-trick in his side’s 4-0 win over Sassuolo in the Italian top flight. Luciano Spalletti’s men remain on top of the Serie A and are the only side yet to lose a game this season.
