Covid-19: Callum Hudson-Odoi recovers coronavirus bug

Chelsea have revealed Callum Hudson-Odoi has made a full recovery after being struck down with coronavirus earlier this month.

The 19-year-old was the first Premier League player to be diagnosed with the Covid-19 bug that has led to the suspension of the sport until at least April 30.

A club statement read: “We are pleased to report Callum Hudson-Odoi is now feeling fine and back to his usual self following the period of self-isolation required after the player tested positive for Covid-19.

“In addition to feeling good, the young winger is hard at work training at home to build and maintain his fitness, as are the rest of the Chelsea squad.”

Chelsea are expected to get back to action when the Premier League returns in at least May, but Frank Lampard’s side are busy planning for the summer transfer window.
