UEFA Champions League Group Stage draw 2021-2022: Chelsea drawn with Juventus as Manchester City face Paris Saint-Germain

Manchester City will face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League group stages after both sides were drawn into Group A, while Liverpool were handed a tough draw.

The two Gulf-backed clubs, who met in last year’s semi-finals, will also face RB Leipzig and Club Brugge. PSG have signed Lionel Messi this summer, while Cristiano Ronaldo could still move to the Etihad Stadium.

Liverpool have landed in Group B with Atlético Madrid, who knocked Jürgen Klopp’s side out of the 2019-20 tournament. Porto and Milan make up a group whose teams have 15 European Cups and 25 final appearances between them.

Defending champions Chelsea are in Group H alongside Juventus, Zenit St Petersburg and Malmö. Manchester United face Villarreal in a repeat of the Europa League final, along with Atalanta and Young Boys in Group F.

Elsewhere, Bayern Munich and Barcelona join Benfica and Dynamo Kyiv in a heavyweight Group E. Inter, Real Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk meet again in Group D, with Moldovan debutants Sheriff completing the group.

The remaining two groups are intriguingly poised, with all eight teams hopeful of reaching the last 16. Group C features Sporting, Dortmund, Ajax and Besiktas while Group G includes Lille, Sevilla, Salzburg and Wolfsburg.
