Liverpool EPL unbeaten run surprisingly broken down by Watford after 3-0 loss against ‘The Hornets’ in Vicarage Road

Liverpool’s virginity in the EPL is broken by bottom side Watford, after ‘The Hornets’ improved second half performance saw three surprise balls found from Liverpool’s net.

The World champions have won all their Premier League games before today’s clash and had managed only a draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford, to simply make them unbeaten after 27 games.

Their unbeaten run has been the subject of discussion in many sports headlines where most Pundits have held a strong view that Jurgen Klopp’s side would go the season unbeaten to equal Arsenal’s 2004 “The Invincibles”.

As Liverpool traveled to Vicarage Road in Saturday’s late kickoff, there was little chance of survival for Watford who in their own haven’t  enjoyed quite smooth season, lying 19th on the log before their game against Liverpool.

However, Watford defiled all odds to inflict Liverpool their first defeat of the season, and perhaps their first ever loss in 45 premier league games starting from loss to Crystal Palace at Anfield in April 2017.

The first half ended goalless draw before Ismaïla Sarr punished Liverpool on the 54th and 60th minutes to give Watford a deserving 2-0 lead.

This was very difficult for Liverpool to come-back into the game despite recording some fair come-backs during the season.

Troy Deeney wrapped the victory for Watford 12’ minutes later to complete Watford’s 3-0 show against Klopp’s side. This is the first time in the season Liverpool have failed to score in an EPL game.
