FC Porto ready to cash in on Chelsea bound Alex Telles

Portuguese outlet A Bola have claimed that Porto are ready to cash in on Alex Telles this summer in order to avoid losing him for free at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

The Brazilian have just a year left on his contract and looks reluctant to agree new deal due to Porto’s inability to meet his demand of around €6million a year (roughly £100,000 a week for contract extension.

Initially, Porto were confident of keeping hold to their player, but their inability to meet Telles’ new demand has caused the Portuguese side to sell the left back in summer to save them from earning nothing when Telles leaves a free man at the end of 2021 season.

Juventus and Chelsea are the two clubs chasing the services of the defender but reports claim the Brazilian prefers a move to the EPL which gives Frnak Lampard’s side a huge boost over Juve.

The futures of Chelsea left-backs Emerson Palmieri and Marcus Alonso look uncertain at West London, with both linked with a move to Italy to reunite with Chelsea former bosses Maurizio Sarri and Antonio Conte respectively.

Alonso, 29, has re-organized himself to put on a tremendous form in recent times, scoring 3 in Chelsea’s total 4 goals in the last two Premier League games.

But Frank Lampard is still not convinced of the Spaniard’s performance who only plays well in the 5-2-3 system. The manager is looking forward to bring Telles to Stamford Bridge to cement gabs Alonso and Ermerson- who is likely to leave in summer- have leaved unfulfilled.
