Senegalese forward Sadio Mane could be heading to Chelsea in summer as new manager Mauricio Pochettino backs move

Chelsea are reportedly interest in former Liverpool forward Sadio Mane in the summer transfer window with in-coming manager Mauricio Pochettino backing owner’s decision to bring the African superstar to Stamford Bridge.

The West London side are believed will sign attacking reinforcements at the end of the season, one of the club’s objectives along with solving their managerial problems.

Mane was fined a club record £250,000 for punching the former Manchester City star after Champions League game against the Premier League champions.

These circumstances give Chelsea the edge to capture Sadio Mane which under normal situation Bayern would not want to sell their best stars to European rivals.

The Bundesliga champions are reportedly waiting bids for Mane from Newcastle United and Chelsea ahead of summer sale.

Mane is also believed to return to the Premier League which draws Chelsea in in attempt to bring the African to Stamford Bridge next season.

The AFCON winner has two more years left on his contract and could leave the Allianz Arena just a season into his 3-year deal from Liverpool worth £35million.

Pochettino is a huge admirer of the Senegal attacker having both share Southampton affiliation.
