Blow for Asante Kotoko as Aduana Stars complete the signing of Nicholas Gyan on the three year deal

Nicholas Gyan appeared a prime transfer target for Kumasi based club Asante Kotoko following the player’s return from abroad, and have struck a three year with Aduana Stars instead.

Nicholas Gyan joined Tanzania club Simba SC in October 2017 and returned to Ghana after Gyan’s contract expired at the end of last season. He failed to reach a new deal with the Tanzania Premier League side which would have made him liable to continue his services with the Simba.

The Ghanaian attacking midfielder registered himself as regular for Simba, helping the Tanzania club to reach the knockout stages of the 2018-2019 CAF Champions League, only suffering 4-1 on aggregate defeat in the 1/16 to Dr Congo’s TP Mazembe.

He was linked with a move to Asante Kotoko after his return but opened negotiations with Aduana Stars later. Few days after, negotiations have been fruitful to land the former Ebusua Dwarf player a three year deal at Aduana.

Nicholas Gyan scored 11 goals in 24 appearances for Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs before leaving for the Tanzanian League.
