Al Hilal deny negotiations with Al Ahly over Tunisian International Ali Maaloul

Al Ahly and Tunisian International Maaloul is been linked with a move to Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal in recent times.

However, the Arabian side are quick to deny rife of rumours linking the Tunisian to their outfits as revealed by Saudi news outlet Asharq Al-Awsat via Egypt Today.

A representative from the Saudi club told Saudi news outlet Asharq Al-Awsat that the club have no interest in signing the player.

Maaloul, 30, established himself as one of the key players in the Red Devils’ squad since he joined the club in 2016 from his childhood club, Club Sportif Sfaxien.

Maaloul has said in different occasions that he wants to end his career in Al Ahly and he dreams of winning many titles with the African Club of the Century.

The player produced his best performance last season as he scored many decisive goals, including the winning goal against Zamalek at Cairo Derby, to lead Al Ahly to clinch the league title.

Maaloul and his teammates see winning the CAF Champions League title as a priority for the club this season and even next term.

And with reports linking him out of the Egyptian giants meant the Tunisian would have lived without seeing this dream all together achieved at Ahly.

Now having Al Hilal, his potential suitors, denied their stance of coming into contact for Maaloul this summer, the left-back is liable to winning the CAF Champions League with Weiler’s side.

Al Ahly have already secured a semifinals place in the Champions League, coming on top of PSL outfits Mamelodi Sundowns in the quarter finals of this year’s competition.
