Mamelodi Sundowns are guaranteed over R21 million in prize money, and no any other PSL team has made that much so far this season.

On Wednesday, the Brazilians were announced as Q2-Innovation winners by the PSL; and that means they have now won the first two quarters of the season.

In addition to that, Sundowns have already won the MTN8, and they are in pole position to win the DStv Premiership as they sit comfortably at the top of the log.

Sundowns are also in with a chance to win the Nedbank Cup and the CAF Champions League – the two Cup competitions they are in the quarter-finals of.

Nonetheless, Sundowns are guaranteed to get money from those two competitions even if they don’t make it past the quarter-finals.

Now, their prize money from the Q2-Innovation means Sundowns have now taken their winnings from the league to R3 million even before the season could end.

They will get over R9.6 million for their efforts in the CAF Champions League and another R400 000 in the Nedbank Cup.
