Inter Milan still tracking World Cup Winner Olivier Giroud from Chelsea

According to reports in Italy, Inter Milan are still keeping tabs on Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud after when the strike’s contract expires at the end of this season.

The French International has already been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, and Inter Milan are favorites to land the Chelsea forward despite the Italian outfits failing in the process to land Giroud in the January transfer window after Chelsea rejected Inter’s a bid for the former Arsenal man.

Antonio Conte’s side are still in constant talks with Giroud’s representatives to see the French International switch for San Siro this summer as claimed by Calciomercato.

Though there is no agreement reached between the reps and Inter Milan but the next few days can be decisive as agreement could finally be agreed, according Calciomercato.

Inter Milan are understood to accept that they are likely to lose Lautaro Martinez to either Manchester City, Barcelona or Chelsea in summer, and Giroud is the man to replace Martinez if he leaves.

Salary is a factor that could hamper Inter’s chances of landing Giroud. However, it has appeared that the French World Cup winner is ready to take a significant pay cut of £25,000-per-week from his current wages of £135,000-per-week, claimed by Gazzetta Dello Sport.
