Chelsea forced to pursuit Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell after PSG beating them to £22million rated Alex Telles

Chelsea are reportedly now focused attention to signing Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell after being closely beaten to the signing of £22million rated Alex Telles by French outfits PSG.

Chelsea have spotted both Chilwell and Telles to strengthen their left-back onces the future of Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri look uncertain at Stamford Bridge.

And with the Porto defender’s contract expiring at the end of this season, Chelsea made him the top most transfer target considering the less fee Telles will cost the West London side (£22million) compared to the cost if Chelsea go in for English International.

However, Frank Lampard’s side are beaten to in the race for Alex Telles after Brazilian outlet Gauchazh – which has close ties to the Telle’s former club Gremio – claim PSG have muscled in front of the Premier League side in the transfer battle.

Telles who is also eyed by Barcelona is expected to replace Layvin Kurzawa- who turns a free man very soon at Parc des Princes.

Frank Lampard’s side have been made aware of this and have planned making a move for Chilwell as soon as possible before Manchester City cause them another blow in the summer transfer market.

Chilwell, 23, could be allowed to leave the King Power Stadium this summer but for the right fee, valuated around £55million by Leicester.

The 23-year-old has eventually rise to prominence after breaking through Leicester academy and replaced Christian Fuchs in the left back position at King Power.

Over the past year, his performances meant Gareth Southgate made him among his favoured left-backs in the Three Lions set up.
