Asante Kotoko offered hope for future success ‘when current players are maintained’ for at least 3 years

  • Moses Foh-Amoaning said Asante Kotoko can dominate the league in the next three years
  • He wants the current crop of players to be groomed for three years to dominate Ghana
  • The Porcupines currently lead the Ghana Premier League table with six points

Asante Kotoko have been offered hope for success but only in the future when their current players are kept for at least three years. Kotoko have not won the Ghana Premier League title since 2014-2015 season.

In Africa, the respective campaigns have ended in soar moments after managing to playing only in the group stages of the 2018 Caf Confederation Cup.

Kotoko may want to bounce back both domestically and continentally having seen their colleagues Al Ahly and Zamalek stretched them in Caf club competitions. But building a strong team is very crucial with Moses Foh-Amoaning showing the gateway to close the gab on African rivals.

A member of the 2014 Commission of Enquiry, Moses Foh-Amoaning, has urged the management of Asante Kotoko to keep their current squad together for the next three years.

Asante Kotoko changed the technical bench and the playing body after replacing Mariano Barreto with Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum and signing 16 players in the just-ended transfer window.

The Porcupine Warriors currently lead the Ghana Premier League table after matchday two following victories against Dreams Football Club and Bechem United.

And according to lawyer Moses Foh-Amoaning, Asante Kotoko can dominate the local scene with many trophies if the current crop of players are kept together for close to three years.

Asante Kotoko will only get a stabilized team if they keep this current squad for three or more years and invest in them; they will do wonders.”

“That will also help the club to be able to transfer the players for bigger fees in the future,” Foh-Amoaning told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM in an interview.
