Hearts of Oak relieved after Great Olympics withdrawing Gladson Awako’s case from Player Status Committee
Great Olympics have rescinded their decision to pursue its case against Hearts of Oak on Gladson Awako’s transfer move at the Player Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association.
Olympics dragged Hearts of Oak to the Player Status Committee after the latter breached the agreement between the two parties on payment of Awako’s transfer fee.

The Phobians missed the second installment and per the contract the deal was off should they fail to pay the money in October.
However Hearts of Oak had managed to register Gladson Awako’s after announcing he had signed a three-year deal for the club.
The Dade Boys after failing to receive the full payment from Hearts of Oak regards to the remaining payment, dragged them to the GFA Player Status Committee.
Per the agreement Awako is expected to join Olympics should the deal fail.

Great Olympics General Manager Oluboi Commodore in an interview on Accra-based radio station Asempa FM alleged that the Ghana FA cannot be trusted to solve the impasse in the ongoing brouhaha between the two parties thus the reason to withdraw the case.
He explained that the GFA wrongly registered Awako to Hearts of Oak which is illegal.
“The posture of the FA means we can’t trust them, a reason why we have withdrawn our case from the Players status committee”
”The FA does not have any right to release someone’s player for another club, let me say it no court has that power”, General Manager of Great Olympics told Asempa FM.
“FIFA does not even hold the power to do that, how can you ask of prove of filing fees from the club as an Association”?
