Odoom sent Hearts to middle (9th) position on the Ghana Premier League table before last season’s league was finally terminated due to crisis from the current global pandemic.

This season, he has failed to picked victory for the Phobia, drawing and losing his first two game of the Ghana Premier League though there is outstanding tie against Aduana Stars.

Hearts’ latest defeat to Inter Allies last Sunday in Ghana’s top flight league mounted pressure on Odoom and has already been demoted to club’s youth side whiles his place at the first team is taken by Papic.

It has been almost 11 years when Hearts won the Ghana Premier League title with the last one coming in the 2008/2009 season.

Hearts’ league triumph was started by Papic who guided the Accra based side top of the league table for most games before being shown the exit door when Hearts led with 10 points and 7 games to end the 2009 Ghana Premier League.

After period with Hearts, he was appointed boss at Young Africans 2009-2011 and guided Black Leopards in the South African Premier Soccer League 2013-2014.

The 60-year old coached Chippa United in 2014 and managed Polokwane City from 2015-2018 while landing eSwatini managerial job in December 2018.

Having Odoom misfired this season however, Papic has finally been appointed to replace the Ghanaian International as head coach.
