Former Hearts of Oak star cautions club to learn from rivals Asante Kotoko

Kosta Papic’s side have been cautioned to learn from bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko as Phobia old players continue to omit from running the club.

Eben Armah ‘Dida’ is the latest to hit the Ghana Premier League outfit with warning concerning how old players of the 2004 Caf Confederation Cup winners are sidelined in duties.

The former Hearts’ shot-stopper believes Kotoko are doing well with regards to how they involve their former players in running the club. They Kumasi based side have appointed some of their former players to lead the technical staff in past periods and others too have served on management level.

Although tt’s not zero with in Hearts’ case but rare that the Phobians appoint past players to serve either on the technical or management level.

Former star Mohamed Ahmed Polo has previously passed concerns on Hearts rarely involving former players in the daily running of the Accra based side but Dida who was in post when Hearts lifted the Caf Champions League in 2000 has taken matters further on the line, stating his former side should learn from Asante Kotoko.

Eben Dida’s immediate attribution was on Hearts’ officials but player’s willingness to serve together with geographical and technical accessibility should be considered when talking about former players not involve in duties in Hearts of Oak.

However, he lamented why his former club has failed to take a cue from this and continue to neglect the services of himself and his colleagues.

In an interview with Kessben TV, the 2000 Caf Champions League winner bemoaned the situation and advised management to learn from Kotoko’s example.

Meanwhile, Hearts of have opened a campaign to break their 12 drought in the Ghana Premier League but their run for the glory have been warm-cooled one.

They have failed to pick a win in the last two outings in the Ghanaian top flight league, and after forcing Berekum Chelsea to a goalless draw at Golden City Park, they were beaten by Great Olympics in the Accra derby last Saturday.

Hearts will now face Medeam SC in Tarkwa on Wednesday as getting to winning ways set in sight.
