Kudus Mohammed registers 9th Danish Superliga goal for FC Nordsjaelland after opening the scores against Esbjerg

Mohammed Kudus produced yet another stunning goal for FC Nordsjaelland in what has been a prolific season in the Danish Superliga for the Ghanaian.

Kudus, 19, scored in a 2-1 away win over Esbjerg during the Round 23 fixture. The youngster calmly slotted the ball past the opponent’s goalkeeper to equalize for his side in the 19th minute after being put clean through by teammate Mikkel Damsgaard.

Nordsjaelland eventually grabbed the match winner in stoppage time o the first half when Mikkel Rygaard Jensen converted a penalty.

Kudus has been in exceptional form for the Wild Tigers so far this season, scoring 9 goals in 18 league games. His performances earned him his first Black Stars call up late last year and he demonstrated his fine form by scoring against South Africa during his debut game.

He is widely tipped to make a return to the senior national football team when Coach C.K Akunnor names his squad for next month’s qualifier against Sudan on Thursday.

Aside Kudus, there were other Ghanaian involvement in the game. Former Asante Kotoko striker Dauda Mohammed came on last 9 minutes of the game for Esbjerg while the likes of Clinton Antwi, Isaac Atanga and Abdul Mumin all started the game for Nordsjaelland.

Diomande Mohammed and Ibrahim Sadiq were second half substitutes for the winning side.
