Ghana Players Abroad in Europe’s big five Leagues, Minutes played, Assists and All Goals

ENGLAND

Jeffrey Schlupp and Jordan Ayew- The duo featured for Crystal Palace as they claimed away point against Watford. Schlupp was replaced by Jairo Riedewlad in the second half (46’) but Jordan completed the game. Crystal Palace are unbeaten in their last EPL games, placing 9th on the log.

Three players Christian Atsu, Daniel Amartey and Kelvin Danso didn’t play any big part in their fixtures over the weekend. Christian Atsu was an unused substitute for Newcastle United in their 2-1 win over Southampton whiles Daniel Amartey missed Leicester City’s 1-4 away win over Aston Villa yesterday. Kelvin Danso was also not in the match day squad for Southampton.

In the Championship, Andy Yiadom featured for Reading in their 3-2 defeat to Birmingham, Andrew Ayew played 82 minutes as Swansea were thumped 5-1 by West Brom whiles Albert Adomah played for Nottingham Forest in their 2-2 away draw against Millwall last Friday.

SPAIN

Thomas Partey- The Black Stars midfielder featured for Atletico Madrid, but Diego Simeone’s men drew 0-0 at home against Villareal. His side sit 7th on the log with 26 points from 16 games.

Mubarak Wakaso- Wakaso was sent off for Alaves in their 3-0 away defeat to Granada, Deportivo Alaves are 15th on the log with 18 points. The Ghanaian midfielder was shown the exit door for a second yellow card on the 67’ minute.

Baba Iddrisu- The Black Stars midfielder played 70 minutes for Mallorca in their 5-2 defeat at Camp Nou to Barcelona last Saturday. However, compatriots Baba Rahman and Lumor missed the game.

Mohammed Salisu played 90’ minutes for Valladolid in their 0-0 draw at home against Real Sociedad. Valladolid are 14th place with 19 points on the Laliga table. They are winless in their last four Laliga games.

 ITALY

Kwadwo Asamoah- The Ghanaian midfielder made a brief appearance for Inter Milan in their goalless draw against AS Roma on Friday night. Inter Milan have won four consecutive games in their last five Seria A games, leading the table with 38 points.

Kevin-Prince Boateng missed Fiorentina’s game over the weekend, Nicholas Opoku was an unused substitute in Udinese’s 1-1 draw against Napoli. Opoku’s side sit 16th on the Seria table with 15 points from 15 games. Alfred Duncan warmed the bench for Sassuolo in their 2-2 draw against Cagliari

From Seria B, Moses Odjer was dropped from  Salernitana squad against Cittadella over the weekend whiles Emmaunel Gyasi was a second half substitute for Spezia in their 2-0 win over Livorno.

Bright Addae featured for Juve Stabia as they lost 2-0 to Frosinone, Bright Gyamfi was on the bench as Benevento recorded a 5-0 win over Trapani and Abdallah Basit was not included in the match day squad.

GERMANY

Christopher Adjei Antwi played 67’ minutes for Paderborn in their 1-0 slim victory over Werder Bremen. Paderborn are second place from the bottom of Bundesliga table with 8 points from 14 games.

Nuhu Kasim saw 90’ minutes of action as Dusseldorf lost heavily to Dortmund however, Bernard Tekpetey and Opoku Ampomah were unused subs for Dusseldorf.

David Atanga in Bundesliga 2 played the last 13’ minutes for Holstein Kiel in their 2-4 home defeat to Osnarbruck and Daniel Kyereh played 90’ minutes for Wehen in their draw against Darmstadt.

FRANCE

John Boye played full 90’ minutes for FC Metz in their 4-1 away defeat to Nice. Metz are third from the bottom of the table with points from 17 games. They are without a win in their last five Ligue 1 games.
