The former Jamaican international, 50, has not been seen with the Black Stars since Rajevac returned for his second stint as the Ghana Black Stars manager.

It is not clear why he left his job as Black Stars fitness trainer but it is suspected that Rajevac wanted a slimmer backroom staff as he already has two assistant coaches.

Ghana’s chances of appearing in 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar is in limbo after been forced to a 1-1 draw to impressive Ethiopia at the Orlando Stadium last Thursday.

Ghana took the lead through Andre Ayew’s superb free behind the box but Ethiopia after sustained possession after recess pulled the leveler in stoppage time.

Don’t miss out on

A heavy win against South Africa at Cape Coast on Sunday could enhance their chances of progressing through to the final stage of the African World Cup qualifiers.

South Africa lead the table with 13 points three points above Ghana and two goal difference against Bafana Bafana in Ghana will hand Black Stars sail through to the next phase of qualifying round.

Lawrence joined the Black Stars during Charles Kwabla Akonnor’s tenure as head coach.

He has announced his exit from the Black Stars as physical trainer after his absence raised question about the fitness of the players of the Ghana national team after they were held by a fitter Ethiopia squad.

“Unfortunately my time working for the black stars has come to a end . I enjoyed every minute of working with the staff and players and I’m wishing you all the success in the upcoming games,” Lawrence wrote.

Lawrence worked as a physical trainer for the Black Stars in 2015 and 2017 under former coach Avram Grant where he guided and helped the team to reach the final of the AFCON.

He was later contracted to work with the team under CK Akonnor during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in November last year.
