Tottenham come from behind to beat Brighton 2-1 on Boxing Day

José Mourinho’s Tottenham could have simply not accepted a second consecutive defeat in the Premier League and neither could they have welcomed sad feelings on Boxing Day having suffered a 2-0 defeat in the hands of London rivals Chelsea last Sunday, and Brighton was on the verge of inflicting a painful results on Thursday afternoon.

As Brighton visited Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in early kick off on Boxing Day, the away side incurred 1-0 defeat to Tottenham in the first half as Adam Webster scored Brighton’s only goal on the 37’ minute.

Tottenham bounced back in the second half to steal the victory away from Brighton. Harry Kane grabbed the equalizer Eight minutes into the second half before Dele Alli completed the come back on the 72nd minute.

Tottenham have moved to 5th on the EPL table with 29 points, just three points behind four placed Chelsea but the West Londons take on Southampton at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.
