Real Madrid put 3-1 past Eibar in Los Blancos brighter return to Spanish Laliag as Eden Hazard returns

Real Madrid return to action in Laliga with 3-1 emphatic win over Eiber at Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano as this season’s title chase becomes tighter after Barcelona winning its clash yesterday.

Barca opened a five points gap on Real Madrid after the Catalans defeated RCD Mallorca yesterday in their first league game after covid-19. Thanks to Arturo Vidal, Martin Braithwaite, Jordi Alba and Messi that got the job done for Quique Setién’s side.

Eden Hazard started for Madrid who seemingly ended his season prematurely due to a knee injury against PSG in the Champions League but the Belgian’s term was salvage by the global pandemic.

Toni Kross scored a beautiful curler from the left edge of the box to put Madrid ahead just four minutes into the game.

The visitors looked to have curtailed the home side matching Los Blancos for most minutes after the first goal but Hazard was played through on goal 26’ minutes later, the former Chelsea forward squared the ball for Sergio Ramos to register Madrid’s second goal.

Seven minutes later, Marcelo from unmarked position at the left edge of the box placed a carpet shot to the bottom right corner giving Madrid their third goal in the game before end of the first half.

Pedro Bigas pulled one back for Eibar in the second half (60′ minute) as Real Madrid ended the game with a 3-1 score line. The victory bridges to 5-point gap to only two points after Barcelona.
